Mulan Me

So, I'm one not to wear make up all the time, and I'm use to just the plain look with my specs on. But when I was performing a dance scene for last years Christmas Production, professional make-up artists came to make-me-up.

My friends who saw the picture went "ohh!!", "Ahh!" mainly because they have never seen me doll up in any way. I'm just too lazy like that.

But to be honest, I don't look much different. Just add the specs and release the hair and I'll look the same.

Today however, my friend posted up a picture of mulan in which someone did. The guy who did it creates one of the best work I have ever seen.

But as my friend said, the mulan looked like me. And i couldnt agree more. Most probably the younger version of me, as my kid face has more resemblance.

Anyways, here is a picture. Tell me if i do look alike or only people I'm close to think so. (This picture was done by Jirka Vaatainen)

Future Plans

I will be graduating soon. Or at least, end of next year, which is pretty soon.

I can still remember starting Uni 2 and a half years ago, fresh and naive. Today, I've learnt enough to know its not as difficult and not as easy as it seems.

By this time next year, I would be preparing for graduation, and the question I have been asking myself since the beginning of this year was what am I going to do after I graduate. I have thought hard.. and long.

What I want to be is a full time author, but I know it won't be possible, as of now. So I plan on taking on 3 part time jobs.

1) Author. Writing and publishing as many books as I can.
2) Freelance Editor(vfx), hopefully I'm good enough. That is why I'm planning my final year internship to be in an editing and visual effects house. I have just found out that I enjoy doing special effects.
3) Part time lecturer. Hoping to apply in a few Universities near my home. Apparently, part time lecturers earn more money than full time lecturers.

So there you have it. The 3 things I want to do simultaneously as I build a career as a writer and expand my bank account, hoping to produce my books into films one day.

These are just stepping stones and plans. The reason why I pile on 3 part time jobs is because I need a backup plan if one fails. But all in all, my future I may draw a rough sketch, but ultimately God is in control all the way.

I'll just have to see what happens.

Book Editing

Editing my book is a hassle, but with discipline, I'm sure to get it done soon.

I'm trying to go a chapter a day, spicing it up, using better words and killing as many errors as possible. I pray I won't miss an error.

My first book is really important, it's a kick start. I'm really hoping it will be good.

It's time to sit down, pray for the gift of spotting mistakes and a flare for awesome words.

I need to make this work. I need to make my dreams come true. I need to be an inspiration.

This is my stepping stone. This is my year. This is my time to shine.

And with the grace of God, I'll make him proud.

My Favourite Things

Medieval Ages with knights and their maidens,
Brown paper parchments and fiery dragons,
Musical instruments with no voices to sing,
These are a few of my favourite things.

A bowl full of M&M's served as a meal,
Little kittens with my heart to steal ,
Rainy days indoors with books to cling,
These are a few of my favourite things.

Beautiful colours like yellow and green,
Draco Malfoy and Slytherin,
Fantasy films with magic to fling,
These are a few of my favourite things.

When the day's hot,
When the work stings,
When I'm feeling sad,
I simply remember my favourite things,
And then I don't feel, so bad.
